  Application
The DM 100 is an efficient desk measuring instrument and has been especially developed for application in the laboratory, testing station and service. D.C. and A.C. voltages up to Vmax = 1000 V, D.C. and A.C. currents up to Imax = 10 A as well as resistances within the range of 10 m§Ù ¡Â R ¡Â 20 M§Ù can be measured. When measuring A.C. voltages and currents the r.m.s. value (true RMS) is determined. Moreover, continuity tests can be carried out with acoustic signalizing.
Functions and measuring ranges can be set by means of four buttons via menus and they, as well as measuring results and measuring units, are clearly represented on a alphanumeric LC matrix display.
The operation modes "automatic setting of the measuring range" and "manual setting of the measuring range" as well as "modification of the measuring speed" are special operating features. The unit has a auto-calibration which can be switched off. Moreover, the measuring result can be displayed referring to a reference value (relative indication of the measuring value).
The instrument is equipped with a serial interface RS-232C for remote control via PC. All functions and parameters can be set, measurements can be carried out and measured values as well as the state of the instrument can be transmitted.
